The Problem

  • Plastic Waste is recycled by Corsair using a solution called Pyrolysis. Corsair has developed a low waste and highly energy efficient method of pyrolysis.

Leading private Healthcare Group in Thailand, the Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS) has joined the Corsair Mission.

 

The groundbreaking collaboration between Corsair and BDMS will see 56 hospitals owned and managed by BDMS across the country, to begin using the CSR Plastic Credit to offset their plastic waste footprint and to become Certified Plastic Neutral.

How it works

Plastic Waste is recycled using several methods including a ground breaking and sustainable plastic waste processing method called Pyrolysis. Pyrolysis uses plastic waste from landfills and the environment and recycles it into pure plastic oil that can be used in further plastic production. From the recycling, CSR plastic credits are generated.

You purchase CSR Plastic Credits to offset your organizations plastic use. You can purchase an amount of plastic credits equivalent to your plastic use to becom plastic neutral, or you may create a pilot project by making a plastic neutral product, or starting with regional neutrality. Once purchased, these credits are 'burned' and you receive a tracable and verified certificate that proves the amount of credits you purchased has gone towards plastic recycling.

Plastic Neutrality accures when an individual or corporation retires CSR Plastic Credits to offset 100% of the plastic waste that individual or corporation creates.

What is plastic neutrality?

At the moment, 1 CSR plastic credits cost about 1 cent per 100g of plastic recycled. That means you can offset 1 tonne of plastic for $100.

How much does it cost?

Every CSR 'token' represents 100g of plastic that has already been recycled. When you purchase CSR, those tokens and 'burned' and a certificate is issued proving your contribution to plastic recycling.

How do CSR credits work? 

Every CSR is recorded on the blockchain and cannot be altered or purchased multiple times as plastic credits. CSR credits are verified by 3rd party auditors on site at Corsair recycling facilities.

How do I know the credits I purchase go towards plastic recycling?

If you know your organization's plastic use, you can divide this number by 100 grams, and that is how many CSR tokens you need to purchase to offset your plastic use.
